Anneliese Ellison: 1'st place with her quilt and 1'st place with her cornhole project in the project show.
Jonathan Tharpe: 1'st place in the project show with his grill table.
Haley Logan: 1'st place with her outside bar in the project show and 3'rd place in Hampshire class with her pig.
Bailey Patch: Breeding Gilts- 1'st, 3'rd and 13'th , 4'th place showmanship.
Market Barrows: 3'rd & 5'th place
Rabbits: Best of Breed and Best Opposite Lionhead, Several other 1'st and 2'nd places.
Breeding Heifer: 1'st place
Lamb: 6'th place
Steer: 11'th place
Reid Parker: Breeding heifers- two 2'nd places.
Gauge Carmon: 1'st & 2'nd place in food projects.
Montez Schofner: 4'th place rabbit and 1'st place food project.
Keely Thompson: 1'st place in food.
Horse speed events: 1'st in poles, 1'st in straight away and 4'th in goat tying.
We are also very proud of Keely for representing TISD very well in the Livestock Show Queen Competition.

We also had three students who received scholarships from the livestock show.
Montez Schofner received a TVCC Foundation scholarship.
Haley Logan receved and TVCC Foundation scholarship.
Gauge Carmon received a scholarship from the TVCC Ag Department.

It's with great honor, that we, The Board of Trustees of Trinidad ISD, announce Mr. Matt Mizell as lone finalist interim superintendent for the district upon Mr. Jenkins' retirement. Please join us in welcoming him to this new role.

We have two Trojan athletes headed to area in track! Congratulations to Rokwon Womack and Anna Ochoa for advancing to the area track meet on April 19'th in Mart.
Rokwon has qualified in three events - high jump, long jump, and the 400 meter run.
Anna has qualified in shot put.
TISD is proud of both of you!



TISD One Act Play is headed to Region! Come and support our Trojan Thespians next Saturday, April 22'nd at Blinn College in Brenham. The contest starts at 1:15 and Trinidad will be the third performance at around 3:45. Trojan One Act Play, we are proud of you!


Wow! What a great turn out for Open House last night! We enjoyed seeing everyone and we hope you all had a nice time visiting our campus. A huge thank you goes out to Mr. Parker for grilling the hot dogs and to Trojan Pride for cookies and drinks. Reminder- there will be no school this Friday, April 14'th and Monday, April 17'th.

Today is the day! Starting at 6:00pm until 7:00pm we will have district wide Open House. We invite you to visit each student's classroom and enjoy all the work the children have accomplished.
We will also be serving hot dogs and drinks on the front lawn of the school. We look forward to seeing you there!

Trinidad ISD Book Fair

Due to last week’s closures for winter weather conditions, Trinidad ISD has fallen below its required minutes of instruction (state law). Monday March 20th will be a regular school day. This is a day that was originally scheduled as a bad weather make-up day. We are grateful that our Trojans returned safe.

Normal school day Friday 2-3-23: Welcome back Trojans.

This evening, after polling, we have commuting staff still dealing with icy bridges and power outages. Trinidad ISD will be closed Thursday 2-2-23. We look forward to getting back Friday.

Trinidad ISD will open at 10:00 am. on Thursday 2-2-23 to ensure roads are passable for our students, staff, and parents.

Trinidad ISD will be closed again Wednesday 2-1-23. While we realize in town residents have minimal hazards, we make this decision in the best interest of all students, parents, and staff. Stay safe.

Trinidad ISD will. be closed Tuesday 1-31-23. Be safe Trojans. While in town residents have minimal hazards, our commuting staff and students must be considered.

Due to weather forecasts, out of an abundance of caution, Trinidad ISD will release at 1:30 pm today 1-30-23. We will also have a 10:00 am start time Tuesday 1-31-23.
