Due to circumstances beyond our control, the welcome back parade will terminate down town. Please feel free to come up and celebrate.

Our State Champion Thespians will arrive back in town on Saturday at approximately 2:00 pm. We invite and encourage anyone that can to line the streets and cheer them in. Our local police and fire departments will escort them. Park St., Downtown, McEntire, and school parking lot are wonderful places for viewing. Go Big Blue!

Trinidad ISD experienced a complete loss of electrical power Thursday May 4, 2023 after a bus driver struck a pole on campus. No one was injured in the accident. The electrical company is on scene and should have repairs completed this evening.

Attention! TISD will have early release this Friday, May 5'th at 11:30. As you know, our very successful One Act Play is headed to the state competition this week and will be performing this Thursday night in Austin. In order to accommodate travel and class coverage, we will only have classes from 8:00-11:30 this Friday, May 5'th. Wednesday, May 24'th will be a full day. One Act Play, GO BREAK A LEG!

HE DID IT! Another Trojan headed to state! What a huge accomplishment! Rokwon Womack competes in the 1A State Championship track meet in Austin on May 13'th. The High Jump competition begins at 11:30 that day. We are so proud of you ROKWON!!!

TISD One Act Play has done it again! Our Trojan Troupe is headed to state! If you haven't seen this show, you should. These students have been extremely successful at every level of competition, winning various awards and wowing audiences. You can head to Austin with us on May 4'th to show your support and see a wonderful performance as these students compete at state. Trojan Thespians, we are proud of you!

WOW! TISD has another regional bound student! Rokwon Womack will be competing at Jourdanton ISD, April 27'th - 29'th in not one, but TWO EVENTS! He qualified in the 400 meter run with fourth place and also qualified in high jump with FIRST PLACE! We are proud of you Rokwon!

TISD would like to congratulate our FFA students on their recent success at the Henderson County Livestock Show! Jordan Crawford: Best Opposite of Breed - All Other Breeds Anneliese Ellison: 1'st place with her quilt and 1'st place with her cornhole project in the project show. Jonathan Tharpe: 1'st place in the project show with his grill table. Haley Logan: 1'st place with her outside bar in the project show and 3'rd place in Hampshire class with her pig. Bailey Patch: Breeding Gilts- 1'st, 3'rd and 13'th , 4'th place showmanship. Market Barrows: 3'rd & 5'th place Rabbits: Best of Breed and Best Opposite Lionhead, Several other 1'st and 2'nd places. Breeding Heifer: 1'st place Lamb: 6'th place Steer: 11'th place Reid Parker: Breeding heifers- two 2'nd places. Gauge Carmon: 1'st & 2'nd place in food projects. Montez Schofner: 4'th place rabbit and 1'st place food project. Keely Thompson: 1'st place in food. Horse speed events: 1'st in poles, 1'st in straight away and 4'th in goat tying. We are also very proud of Keely for representing TISD very well in the Livestock Show Queen Competition. These students did an amazing job! ALL ANIMALS AND PROJECTS MADE SALE! We also had three students who received scholarships from the livestock show. Montez Schofner received a TVCC Foundation scholarship. Haley Logan receved and TVCC Foundation scholarship. Gauge Carmon received a scholarship from the TVCC Ag Department. Congratulations to all of our students and thank you for representing our school so well! We are proud of you!

Trinidad ISD would like to give a huge shout out to three of our students for advancing to Region in their individual UIL academic events. This a huge accomplishment! They are only one step away from State!
