RULES AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Class begins when the tardy bell rings. All students should be in their assigned seat and working in journals unless otherwise directed.
  • Always check board/projector as soon as you are seated for the preliminary class work.
  • Assignments will be posted daily in the classroom. When they are completed they should be placed in the designated tray.
  • Homework is due at the beginning of the class period in the designated tray. Any work that is turned in after class begins will be considered "late."
  • Assignments not turned in on time will be reduced by one letter grade for each day the assignment is late. (If the assignment is evaluated as a B then it will be recorded as a C, etc.)
  • Make up work (Work missed due to an absence)must be completed by the next day after the student receives the assignment. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH STUDENT TO GET THEIR "MISSED ASSIGNMENS."
  • DO NOT CHEAT OR COPY- this means copy and pasting or re-phrasing from online sites as well! - This will result in an AUTOMATIC ZERO!
  • Please allow me to dismiss you, NOT the bell. We will leave the room when desks and tables are clean and back in order.
  • I expect all students to participate.
  • Be prompt
    • Be ready to learn when class begins.
  • Be prepared
    • Have materials with you and know due dates.
  • Be a polite and positive participant
    • Speak in a normal tone of voice and listen attentively.
  • Be productive
    • Turn in work on time, and always do your best.
  • Be a problem solver
    • Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate.

My Pledge to Students

  • I will trust you until you give me a reason to do otherwise.
  • I will respect you and work with you to solve problems.
  • I will promptly correct and offer feedback on your work.
  • I will work with you to meet any learning goals.
  • I will offer extra help and alternative assessments should you require them.
