Student Takes Reserve Champion Honors at Regional Contest

Chelsea Tart a freshman member of the Trinidad FFA recently competed in the Blinn College Agricultural Mechanics Welding contest.  Students had to produce a T-Joint weld with both SMAW and MIG machines, produce a butt joint weld with the SMAW process that was bend tested for structural integrity, and complete a written exam.  In the contest Chelsea competed against nineteen senior boys from several well known Ag Mechanics Schools in the state, and took Reserve Champion honors.  Congratulations on a job well done!
